leaking fuel line

the end of the fuel line where it joins the banjo, can see fuel leaking from here, the crimp is fairly loose is it possible to steep in hot water and then push the fuel pipe further on don't see the point of putting any kind of sealant on it as petrol will surely eat it,s way through.

joint plate.

as above fitting new impellor discovered there is no joint plate exhaust flange to gear housing, looked at an older seagull this one had one in it made out of cork. looked at the owners spares book and it shows one in there with the impellor resting on top of it.

heat.

how long can you safely heat the block up to get a seized bolt out, it is one of the four that hold the water jacket on,don't want to heat to much in case i damage the ally. i have had to take it off to clean the water passage.

small drill.

is it safe enough, to clean out the waterways in the jacket with a small drill going slowly back and forward?if so this will save me a lot of time,as they are bady crusted up,with old gasket sealer and an abundance of salt water brick hard deposits.
