Seagull Tideracer

These were built by Heyland Marine in the 1980s . This was the Seagull option . They also did a Yanmar inboard / shaft drive or outboard option . I had the outboard version as a commercial fishing vessel , it was a very safe and able boat .

Size matters

I'm doing a tentative restoration on a little forty amongst other projects . I'm a bit concerned about the tiller length , I feel it is rather short at 5" . Once it's complete it might be out in public with other little forties and I don't want it feeling inadequate ! Can anyone reassure me on ...

I have 2 seagulls to try on that boat , an ED 102 and a series 90 . I alternate between a Honda and a Tohatsu , both 6 hp four stroke for daily use . Because it's a displacement hull my top speed will be limited but on a good day I can achieve 6 knots with the 6 horse
