try getting a screwdriver and poking around the water passages, if that does it any harm it means it has had it anyway

I own one and they work really well. There is a hose on the end. It sounds like the cylinder is cracked.
If it is you might be able to find someone to weld it but usually you have to replace it.

Before you replaced the head gasket did you check the water channels in the cylinder, They may be blocked from rust. If you use to much sealant it could clock up the channels, Also is the water pipe fastened properly to the bottom of the cylinder, You don't need sealant with the head gasket, they al...

impellors rarely ever need replacing.
They don't pump at very low revs.
My 1942 102 has the original impellor as well as the points in the ignition which rarely need touching.

undo the breather on the fuel cap
turn the fuel on
tickle the carbie untill it is pouring out of the hole on the fuel bowl
give it full throttle or half if you have a neutral
wrap around rope and pull
don't have a choke, don't reckon they need them.
My 1942 102 usually always starts 1st pull
