talking of strange cowls this was FV 1586 as found. The cowl has now been replaced and the engine rebuilt and running happily.
Unfortunately I did not take detailed measurements before I rebuilt it, but it is very responsive and powers my little inflatable easily

Gently does it and lots of heat after a good soak. on the 102's it hasn't failed yet.

that puts THC60612L to 58/59 and as the decal "looks" original from the photo, it would presume that BS let the large Seagull decal fly off some time before 1958.. do we have a consensus? I doubt it there will always be exceptions. do we have more original photos/

Min quantity from Blackwoods in Aussi is 20 litres still very xe though. Post note on the previous post; When I noted the gearboxes were full to the brim that may not have been the case. The motors were upright when I removed the plugs and so there could have been a air gap in the top of the casing....
