Hi Phil
I don't think that ELTO made any other folding outboards in 1929 apart from the lightweight, could you post some pictures of it as a reference?
I could always be wrong, by no means am I an expert when it come to ELTOs .
Cheers

1929 ELTO outboard
Hello everyone, I recently aquired this 1929 super ELTO lightweight outboard from Steve Green and thought I might make a quick thread on it as I progress through the restoration. I will update with pictures at every chance I get. It is rated at 3.5hp and folds in half for easy storage, much like the...

Re: Australian 50's Tornado
Hi AusAnzani, Last time I went down to Steve Green's collection in Mandurah I noticed an outboard that looks quite similar and have just remembered now. It is branded as a JAP (James Arthur Prestwich?) and looks almost identical apart from the exhaust routing. I have uploaded pictures to my photobuc...

1964 Honda outboard

Re: Merc 60 For Side Rack
Hi B Good score on that Merc, year of manufacture is early 1962, because of serial no. check out this site for some info and parts if needed - http://store.oldmercs.com/category_s/899.htm Have a look at my photobucket for stickers and what it originally looked like. http://s375.photobucket.com/user/...

British anzani super single outboard
I thought I might post about my anzani super single outboard - one of the oldest I have seen around. I got it for free halfway through last year and it has been sitting at the back of my workshop for the last few months. It has the villiers ignition and an Amal carburettor so I believe it is complet...

Re: air cooled outboard question
Hello Chris I would always recommend using a good outboard oil when running any type of outboard - but for an air cooled one don't use an oil with a TCW grading - specifically for water cooled engines so works with a different temperature range to oils purposely made for air cooled engines. Hope thi...
