Somewhere in between!
There in not a lot of difference in performance between the 3 of them. put them on your engine and have a play!

Have you tried running the engine with the prop off in the wash down barrel? (can't remember)

Re: AMAL 2 Jet Carb- Threads

It is 28 TPI 55° 5.09mm over the high points of the threads.(on the one I looked at) I will have a look in my book and see if I can work it out better

It could be 7/32-28 BSF another way to check would be to see if a 4.60mm or #15 drill goes in the hole. I don't have one to check.

Re: RD 102 head

It could even be a cracked cylinder wall.

In any case take the cylinder off the crank case and have a look. You can get to the water ways at the same time.

Re: Bought Another One

How easy is it to take the K.G.L plug apart? I have taken a 8 Com apart that was so rusty the hex was almost gone.... Just thinking out loud, it may have been the quality and reliability of the 8 Com?

I hope you have oil in the cylinder and crank case when you use the drill. Not something I would do!

Re: Silver Century not starting

Do you have a spark? Sometimes the HT lead may look ok but a lot of the time that is the issue. If you don't get a cough with the engine start / wd40 / CRC or fuel in the plug hole then I put 10c on the HT lead.
