Have you got a pic of the part so we know the shape to look out for?
Is it a Tomas OR a Tomos outboard?

2015 Manukau Seagull Race
Yesterday was the official opening of a 'new' public space in Auckland - New Zealand. In recognition, some well-seasoned Seagullers and I spent the day at one of the beaches in the area. It was a great opportunity to meet others with the same obsession! 10 boats assembled in 2 classes (4.5hp & s...

Re: Removing waterpump housing bolt 40+
I heat up the bolt so it is red hot... The bolt expands breaking the seal of corrosion. It takes a bit to melt the aluminium in open air. If your concerned about the aluminium melting put some wet clay around the area, it works like a heat sink.

Re: British Anzani Minor help needed
Mine has the same 2 small holes, it had a scrappy bit of rusty thin steel bolted to it. Looks like it may have been a pointer of sorts (not the orignal) The tiny bolts look far too small to hold any leaver. I ended up making a head gasket out of copper, I could have a go at making one like the orign...

Re: British Anzani Minor help needed
Interesting! On my engine the casting has some grinder marks (probably where the casting was fed from) I wondering if the casting may have been broken at this point and that is where the leaver was attached? That is also the same side the mixer is on! http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b302/malenudge...

RRR yes my is the same as yours!
there is little grub screws in the two casting lumps either side of LONDON. My guess is holding a bush for the drive shaft (I have not had that apart)
