Robert E Groves
Does anyone have any artwork or magazine ads that feature the illustrations by Robert E Groves? Seeking high-res digital files or original art or magazine ads. Please don't point to anything on the web - am specifically seeking originals or scans of same. Am in touch with Groves' descendents and the...

Re: Check this out.
Saw Larry's trailer on the original Brisbane Meet back in April. Amazing. Have just had to put my trailer with its newly-rebuilt galvanised steel chassis over the pits (inspected by an AUVIS Inspector for a 'blue slip') and learned to my chagrin that the old hand-made mudguards (that had been on the...

Re: Good Guys .
Charles , don't girls like bright sparkly things ? Hence I'm polishing my bits . Women, I have heard they make more noise than a seagull and very hard to silence . I'll get an imaginary one and we could go on a double date. If you're polishing your bits yourself, you probably don't need a girlffrie...

Lerryn Seagull Race 2012
Have just been advised by the RLYS Commodore, David Vipond, that this year's Lerryn race will be held earlier than usual, on the 9th December, due to it being the only weekend with suitable tides. So if you're planning to attend, better get your skates on..!! More to follow once I have further info....

Re: Shall we try and get to Cholsey before end of year
It's definitely a sort of cultural thing....we have similar issues getting bods to events here in Oz, although we are batting from the bottom of the board anyway, seeing we only formed the Oz owners group a bit over 12 months ago..... But the "tyranny of distance" applies here too. I live ...

Re: "Summit to Sea": Seagulls on the Murray
BUMP........ This is just a reminder to those from outside Oz that we are now only 12 months out from the Greatest Ever Seagull Event [ ;) ] so if you had any vague thoughts about attending either the whole trip - 2500kms over five weeks - or even a partial trip, say one to two weeks - you will need...

Toronto Classic Boat Festival - Lake Macquarie - Easter 2013
The Oz Seagull owners group has been officially invited by the organisers of this large and popular festival to take part in next year's event. As we have quite a few members in Sydney and around the Newcastle / Lake Macquarie area, I thought this would be a good event for a Gathering. Details not y...

Grafton Classic Boat Regatta
We'll be taking the Seagull Owners group stand to the Grafton Festival again this year, on the first weekend in November, so anyone from SE QLD or northern NSW, it's not that far to drive and is a good weekend with loads of fun stuff to do.
See attached poster or PM me for more details.

Re: Sydney Classic Boat Festival
Well, as predicted, the set-up day was foul - howling wind and pouring rain. And that blighter Murphy dictated that no sooner had we finished erecting the stand and got the roof on it - the rain stopped. Grrrrrr.... But we had a good time over the weekend as it was fine and sunny both days, with a g...
