Re: Good Guys .

I like the idea of the ht lead and plug Charles, plugs like that don't fall out of trees though . brass straps could be a bit much , it's nice to have the contrast of the stainless ones , remember the tank is brass not painted black . if I had a good painted tank I'd be very tempted to go with brass...

Re: Fuel mix for collectors

Chucks...I feed mine a baby bottle every night before tucking it in after 30 minutes of quality time looking through Seagull history books together :P Just joking! But I do always add the right amount of fuel stabilizer which keeps it fresh as new for over a year...a precaution that's paid off many ...

Some times you cant save them all ~ but you never discard them :) A somber reminder of the reason why Seagulls must be saved...gentlemen, let us remove our hats and beat our breasts to honor these our fallen brethren motors  But there's always hope! Look at the tank on that 2nd from the left.....

Re: Good Guys .

He even had one that had no chance of going ! The enjoyment came from seeing the man's pride in his obsession and hearing the tales that came along with . A great way to spend an afternoon . You got a glimpse of heaven my friend...Seagull heaven. Thanks for sharing. I just hope that down the road (...

New generation Seagull carry handle

Just thought I'd post this addition to my '71 Silver Century. Used a 7/16th SS threaded rod through an anodized aluminum tube between the clamp brackets and dabbed Locktite at both ends. I had previously tapped the holes on the brackets to 7/16th, although they were almost of that diameter to begin ...

Like the fuel can, these were snapped with the last reel of film I used in my 35mm Olympus OM2.[/quote] Beautiful piece for sure. BTW I've got a like-new OM2 I never use anymore...of course with OTF (on the film) light-reading meters. One of the best 35mm I have ever owned. Got 92 of them in many ma...

Ultimate non-Seagull...

I know, I know...it's far from topic even as a non-Seagull motor...but believe it or not I've used it twice when my main motor stopped due to a fuel blockage. Made from an ABS tube, some wood, a galvanized shaft and an old 90 degree drill adapter. I just tighten my Ridgid battery operated drill on t...
