Seagull Compared Olympic (Warm Day)

Yep, warm day today, nearly got to 39 Deg C. Interesting thing is in that, when comparing the pics between a Gull with gearbox oil and an Olympic with gearbox grease there is no contest in "Staining Value". Au engineering at its best! http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/collectorinspe...

Re: The Old Question..........SPARK PLUGS

I remember that post by PB and yes it did just "Fade Away". Short Reach is indeed Best, no doubt in that as extra plug thread protruding into Fire and Brimstone just makes for problems. Let me be a bit more clear with my reasoning in that the spark should be "Well and Truly In There&...

The Old Question..........SPARK PLUGS

We all have an interest in all things Seagull, some like to collect numbers, casting marks or just want to rib about colours of propellers and stuff. I like ignition/sparkplugs, always have really. No amount of abuse can stop ME.........AHHA! Sorry, too many Crown Lagers...... . In to...

Re: Christmas Wishes Ho Ho Ho

Australian Jingle Bells Dashing through the bush, in a rusty Holden Ute, Kicking up the dust, Esky in the boot, Kelpie by my side, singing Christmas songs, it’s Summertime and I am in my singlet, shorts and thongs Chorus Oh! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, Christmas in Australia on ...

Re: Olympic (large download)

I have been stuffing about with some later Olympics, the ones above, and they have no engine numbers or any identification at all..............?

Did a You tube Vid of some of them.

Re: British SEAGULL CYLINDER BLOCK

Is this something different? I have, only for the first time, had a square head/block apart for the Minor repairs that are progressing but slowly.....

It also has raised liner into head.

As I said, first time with one apart.

Re: 102's exhaust tubes

Awww, Guys, green props all the rage down here until I was also pinged by JohnSOS about them a while back now. Props are now natural or painted silver. Blue tube is some Tygon that I had, never needs replacing and, yes, I painted it black, same as above. Remember, an internal combustion engine (AKA...

Re: Struth!

"Struth" Indeed!

125 - 250 motorcycle expansion chamber could be a value added but, really, would run like a Hot Can of Victoria Bitter on a dash board eh?

Everything is "Wrong"

Use those as "emergency Fire Extinquishers" (Cans that is)

Re: I Found A Minus (Update)

Yes, Very Odd Indeed! Marked as "Hepolite" and the number is 10780 as per the casting internal. It weighs absolutely nothing. I asked our local Hepolite agent if there was still a listing but the reply "To the best of my knowledge, this part is no longer listed" Kind of gets my ...

Re: 102's exhaust tubes

All of mine are chrome on brass. ( Down_Under 102s Anyway) I made a mistake with one, "Chook 102" and got a stainless steal pipe made. In that I mean the brass versions are VERY much quieter! "Chook" does not sound .......Right? http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/collectori...

Re: Soda blasting

Guys I have decided to get one of these cabinets (Free Standing One). I have checked it out and the light is mains voltage and the rest of the blasting process is compressed air. I have a reasonable/enviable/venerable, compressed air station in my workshop so no problems. http://i401.photobucket.co...
