Shame on me!

I bought a plastic boat. Plastic!

Funnily enough the previous owner had a seagull on it!

Re: Rusty spark plug removal

Ahh. Just checked mine... no allen key fitting. Can't say l have ever had trouble opening my vice (as they are known down here 🦘) grips. Interesting. You tighten your grip as well.

Re: Rusty spark plug removal

Creamy sludge is probably correct. The oil is designed to emulsify with ingressed water. I describe it the colour as baileys irish cream. What is this allen key trick?

Boxed SD

In 2017 an SD surfaced in its original wrapping within the crate including the side mount. I have reliable information that is about to come back onto ebay. Be nice if it went to a member of the SOS family. Quite frankly it should be in a museum. Can you keep an eye on GB ebay please as l'm in Sydne...

Re: SD12802J

General consensus was there were about 10'000 manufactured though the #'s go up to the 12k's. There are a few blocks missing ie in the 6 and 7000's. In time l believe these will balance out and appear. I agree with Eddie that it was probably an SD with a later replacement crankcase and barrel. The f...

Thanks Bruce, I've entered your SDP 11287. That is 5 SDP's now. All #'s between 10500 and 12500 so 1945?

Re: SD Register

Thanks Alain.

If anyone else wishes to have their SD on the register do as Alain has which was brilliantly executed. Now added Alain.

I'll publish the register whenever 5 more motors are added.

Cheers, Hugo.

Re: Identify the stamp on the skeg of SD102??

Hi Charles! I'm slowly reducing my seagull/outboard collection but will keep the SDs and will further research them. Might be another year or so. They seem to get heavier and heavier as time goes on! I'll peruse the forum a bit more to see if there are any enquiries on the SD l can help with. The pi...
