I'm usung a good small torch ( propane ). The original nipples seem to be silver solder - from the temp it ran at. Now I am looking for a water pump housing for a clutched silver century gearbox with a 48:12 gears. Anyone please :) I'm pretty sure I have one - just hunted through loads of stuff. I am doing up a wspcl right now - which has the large crownwheel so can compare the two. Let me know if you are stuck...

Anyone know what flux to use and what solder for stainless cable. I've been making up some amal control cables. I have a Silver Century, longshaft, no clutch on the rail of Lena. She is a 22' Invader - circa 1968 or so. Nice little cruising boat - with a pretty new Yanmar IGM10.
