Re: Anzani Super Single question

Never seen one in the flesh and even after looking at some pics I have idea where the water intake/exit are located but I suspect that you could plumb water to it via the inlet ot outlet and thus run it at the shop? Worth looking into as finding a garden hose with fresh water is a bit easier then fi...

Re: Porta-bote

I had an early aluminum version of the porta-boat. (the transom model). They take a 15 inch leg. The only reason to own one of those boats is if you need to drag it into your trap line cabin on a narrow trail with a ski-doo. Barring that IMHO they are best avoided. You will be much, much happier with...

Re: Way off topic again

He was born in Scotland! I am very pleased to learn that! It always bothered me a bit. On my wish list is a LEE navy 6 mm tough to find though. Maybe it was his US patents that confused me or did he emigrate? Either way I like my SMLEs alot better now knowing that a Glasgow education led to the rel...

SAE 90 Gear oil in Canada

Not sure if this is helpful but my experience with finding SAE gear oils locally has been a tough so thought I'd pass it on. Went to grab a litre of EP 90 for the merc and my local crappy tire has stocked SAE 90 marine gear oil. No it is not 140 but it is mineral based SAE and it is cheap. It seems ...

Re: Way off topic again

Man when you finally find that English gun you are going to find little use for the berretta. Pure joy shooting a proper gun. Did that Moore fit you? Everyting else perfect? priced to reflect the stock work required? I completely understand the 'only buy minty guns' philosophy but if this gun is sup...

Re: Transporting seagull engine

I think it maybe would be hard on the lugs that fit into the transom mount and potentially terminally to the plastic bit that clamps over the drive tube? Maybe not but stand on the bumper and have a friend drive 60 km/hr down some washboard. lot more force at work then when hanging on a transom. Tha...

Re: Britains greatest machines

LOL, no wonder the west is in the craper manufacturing wise, your lists of best machines almost exclusively involve going fast around a track or splashing about in the mud for recreation! Not alot of room for fruition in hood ads and tailgate parties. Surely there must be a medical diagnostic machin...
