I like this idea Fords here have coil on plug units at a reasonable price for new, Id leave it mounted on the plug.

I picked up a very good looking 102 seagull at a garage sale afew years ago & was very lucky that i pulled the motor apart before starting it. What i found was the bigend bearing cap screws were not tied of & only finger tight, a disaster waiting to happen very wary now.

You would be surprised how many Seagulls are around in Australia. I have 4 of them & used to sell new ones back in 1978.
