Well my first mistake, nothing broken but I bought myself some sockets
I thought Whitworth BSF were what I needed so I got a set with these sizes
1/8WW 3/16WW 1/4WW . 5/16WW . 3/8WW . 7/16WW. 1/2WW

Thanks Tam those rings arrived today and I got them on without breaking them,oil tip worked really well Then I Zinc primed the gaskets after rubbing them down, I rubbed down the block to remove all the old silicone I put the Crankcase back together with a smear of Loctite SI5990 RTV Silicone instant...

Yes Jon, I can see just how difficult putting them on is going to be :| not a lot more to do before I start rebuilding it, I need a warmish day to Zinc prime the Gaskets and I also want to get into the gearbox and flush out the old oil and replace that, I have a day off next Tuesday with luck it mig...

Yes John is really good, each time I have called he has had what I needed and at a great price, this time Tam came to my rescue, thanks mate I finally freed the other ring without breaking it, a long soak in a glass of nail polish remover (mix of Acetone and water) did the trick, I can't get it off ...
