sorry we have been spoilt by the mega reliability of the "later"...
seagull ignition units!

Those magnetos fail and cost £50 to fix!

the later amal carb off the 91/110 type..with the round plastic bowl
whats the better carb that one or the classic amal 2 jet?...?

How good is the seagull alternator on the 170
also there are 3 wires off it...what colours connect to what to charge a 12v battery?
cheers...is there a connector to plug in?

There was a "car is reborn"?Mark Evan's...one of his anyway.... episode with lead loading...it did not look easy!...compared with using car filler!
but obviously when its leaking body filler wont do!
