Re: Project engine

Interesting project ! If you went for model with the larger gearbox you might have space to house a motor , especially if you extended the casing . If this is possible it might be relatively straight forward . Good luck ๐Ÿ‘

Re: Russian outboards

You would say Anzani must've sold them the rights to it . It's a pilot for sure !

Russian outboards

A friend of mine from the Ukraine shared a link with me . Not many Russian motors knocking about here but I do have a couple made by Salyut . If you're interested have a look here

Re: Lerryn 2019

I looked through all the pictures , looks great and I wished I had been participating . Bit of a trek from Orkney but it made me think about the possibilities for another year and a potential craft and motor , hence my speed questions but I think I'd be more than happy just to complete the course ๐Ÿ˜Š

Re: Lerryn 2019

What was the maximum speed achieved during the race and is there a speed limit on the course ?

Re: Stuck on a rock

Some fine ship handling in that video then a mad scramble of passengers and vehicles as soon as the ramp came down , excellent !

Seagull Tideracer

These were built by Heyland Marine in the 1980s . This was the Seagull option . They also did a Yanmar inboard / shaft drive or outboard option . I had the outboard version as a commercial fishing vessel , it was a very safe and able boat .
