Re: Fuel Tap O Rings

I can’t remember the dimensions of the O rings, but don't worry about the lose fit on the plunger. When all the O rings are fitted, they will be tight against each other. For the exact dimensions, there is an article about O rings on Johns website. I have tried this also on my classic motorcycles, w...

Re: Fuel Tap O Rings

I have tried "O" rings on my fueltap of my SD with good results.
I think you have used the wrong material.
Try Viton "O"rings, they are fuel resistent.

Re: magento plate wobbles

Be careful with flywheel magnets hitting the coils.
The pictures explain what happened with my 200CC Villiers motorcycle engine.

Re: WW2 SD nearly finished

The good old Seagull SD out for a life test.
She started at the first pull and performed very well.
The boat is hired, as my Sunshine is not yet ready.
I had my AP ( Advanced Products ) with a 70cc JAP engine as a back up on board, but didn't need her.

Some new pictures of the progress.
She needs the floor boards, the front seat and a coat of paint inside and under the waterline.

1952-54 Berini Boatmaster

This is my Dutch built Berini M15 Boatmaster.
She is an air cooled motor with a 0.7HP output.
Built in a number of about 800 between 1952 and 1954.
The design is based on the famouse Berini "eitje"( egg), a front wheel engine for a bicycle.
She runs well, but I haven't tryed it behind a boat.

Re: 11 ft Sunshine Yacht Tender

Thanks Graham,
I will varish the outside of the hull.
To varish the inside would be to much work to remove the primer between the ribs.
If you have a tip to remove the primer easily, please let me know.
Do you have an idea to mark the waterline?
I will keep you updated.

11 ft Sunshine Yacht Tender

After studied the amount of work to restore my old boat, I decided to buy the brand new boat. She is the Sunshine, a 11 ft Yacht Tender, designed by Walter J. Simmons. The design is based on a 1915 Yacht Tender. She has been build by the Dutch Bootbouwschool at Uitgeest, Holland. She is 5 years old ...

Auto Products JAP ( SeaBee

This is one of my other engines.
It is a A P with a 79.7CC JAP.
The decal on the tank reads:
AP Assured Power
Auto Products
Brayton Road, Exhall
Coventry
The engine looks very similar to the SeaBee
She runs like new, I had her out for a trip last year.

Re: SD restoration

Hello Oyster, I had my leg zinc plated together with some other parts, eg bolts, nuts and the tank straps. It cost my 40 euros, I think chrome plating would cost you about 75 pound for the leg only. The surface of your leg is badly pitted, if you let it plated it probanbly wouldn't fit anymore. ( to...
