Re: Moderator's Meeting
'HDP' - Doh..! Like an HSD, but the X-rated version... 8) Well aware of what's posted on the main site, Jon, thanks. A thread pinned here, with accompanying pics would serve a slightly different purpose, allowing 'sensible' conversation in one place, rather than repeated threads that eventual...

Re: Moderator's Meeting
Wouldn't mind seeing 3 pinned threads for the info collected to date on the early 40's, SD/SDP/HSD's (Edit, thanks Hugo!) & the 102's (Jeremy, Hugo & Jon?). With owner supplied pics of what could be reasonably guestimated as 'original', restored, blinged out, etc..? Understand some owners ma...

Re: Skeletal Bracket
Made new studs in stainless from a broken QB clutch rod & a transom security bar.
'V-strut' & pads, coming up next...
Thanks fellas. Pretty flimsy things - that extra bar looks like a good idea, Hugo.

That would be extremely helpful, if the 3D drawing to be printed & cast turns out not to be too much trouble - thanks fellas.

Re: What has SOS has done for you?
Nice, Tam, well done..! Re: SOS - Been lucky enough to meet some first class individuals (Adrian & Allegra, Rick) and some highly questionable ones (Charles), in person. And been in touch with a few more highly questionable characters (Tam, John, Hugo, etc.) over the interwebs from time to time ...

Re: Skeletal Bracket
Charles, the tiller arm nut is 3/8 BSF, as you said - 20 TPI.
These thumbscrews are 3/8 BSW, 16 TPI.

Hey Charles, no it's not 3/8 BSF. I'll measure it up accurately & get back.

Re: Skeletal Bracket
Measured up the stainless (monel, maybe?) thumbscrews - 3/8" diameter, not the usual 7/16". Strange. Given the ball ends - maybe an early run, a stepping stone between the Marston thumbscrews with pads & the brass L's..? Doesn't explain the smaller diameter, though (assuming all of the...

Thank you both.
Looks like the bolts are steel, any idea of diameter & thread for the upper & lower mounting studs?

Skeletal Bracket
Hello all, Looking for some close-up pics of a complete skeletal bracket - particularly showing what the original bolts & transom screws were - so I can get my incomplete one finished as accurately as possible. Have done a search but hard to tell from the pics I've found so far. The bolts on min...
