WIPAC mark II coils

Hello,
It is my understanding that a condenser is part of this coil and is not readily removable/replaceable. So has anyone ever done it - replace a condenser in these units? If so did you remove old one and replace or add one externally? What size is the condenser? How did you do it?

Re: Bermuda's Round the Island Seagull Race 2018

Charles - a lot of the credit has to go to James. The motor I used he built. The boat I built I am sure contributed to my success, runs real nice and only weighs 40 pounds, but most credit lies with the engine and its builder. Gotta credit my daughter too, for not gaining any weight and agreeing to ...

Re: Bermuda's Round the Island Seagull Race 2018

There has been one change to the prizes. The Blake Hill trophy for line honours has now been awarded to me. Those racing with a sport engine are not eligible for this trophy. Rees, who was originally awarded this trophy, was running a Sport engine.

Re: Bermuda's Round the Island Seagull Race 2018

The race did happen, it was rough, many opted to not start, many others failed to finish for a variety of reasons. Couple videos on the Bermuda Seagull Racing page on FB. I have several videos on my own page, but this you need to be my friend to see them.

Re: 100 Century Gearbox Problem

I gotta agree with Jon. I do not think i would spend the time trying to repair that one. Must be easier and cheaper to get a complete replacement gearbox.

Re: 102 barge pusher.?

Think there is more than a prop amiss here. If this is an SD, shouldn't the water pump housing be the straight out the back exhaust? Probably why the wrong prop is on there. Carb appears to have a choke lever, thought SD's did not have a choke. Missing HT lead. Wrong transom bracket assembly, cobble...

Re: EFPCL Lives!

The CDI ignition plate is held in place with 3 bolts that go into sleeve nuts, with the other end of the sleeve nut attached to crankcase bolts. The older villiers and WIPAC mark II ignitions are held in place with a location screw in the ignition base which sits in a dimple on the crankcase collar....

Re: EFPCL Lives!

Postage from the UK is terrible, but I think if you keep the package under 2kg, it is somewhat reasonable. John at SOS will know -he and I work together to manage my packages weight to keep the cost reasonable. Think if it goes over 2kg, the price gets silly
