Posting parts to Australia
Hello all,
I am in need of some advice on shipping/posting outboard parts from the UK to Australia.
Who's done it and what method/service did you use?
Can smaller packages eg barrels, pistons etc be sent by regular post or does it have to be via a courrier?

Re: Owners of Australian Riptide Outboards - Call to Action
Well I couldn't get water up while spinning it with a drill so removed the bottom end to check the impeller. Surprise its a brass one and looks like a bit of wear and rough scratches on the fins of the impeller on it thought the casing seems scratch free. Would like a couple close up pics of the ...

Have been watching that since it was posted yesterday.

Excellent Raya, thanks for taking the time to record the serial number.
As you say, it’s a Riptide Boatman made by Westcott Hazel Industries in 1960. Will add it to the records.
As a matter of interest, could you share with us it’s location please.
Thanks & Regards
Spiro

Re: FVs
Interesting discussion!
I am currently in the middle of a mechanical restoration of FV4520. It does comprise the above-mentioned metal gaskets, now removed and thoroughly cleaned up. Both seem to be in very re-usable condition.
What I would like to know is the type of sealant that is recommended ...
