Re: Various bits for sale

All sold now except flywheel, base plate and cover ("for the world" type but faded). These parts I have used on an engine so are serviceable if anyone is interested.

Various bits for sale

Hello,
I have accumulated bits over the years that I really don't need so have a look, if there is anything you want, give me a bell on 07824-409711 or by email if you prefer on billynorena@gmail.com
Seems more sporting to offer them here before offering them up on the dreaded eBay!

Re: My life of Seagulling

Thanks Jon, yes i do love the 102s, many happy miles pushed along by these lovely motors! The SD is nice, I do have the steel tiller but put the brass one on as I had it kicking about and it just looks so nice. I did notice that the grease/oil nipple things are on the opposite side to other gearboxe...

Re: My life of Seagulling

Adrian, yes! It is Garry and Nina. Great to hear that response. Dick was Nina's father and I remember many good sailing trips aboard L'Aquila. Our boat was Mamiri and I think that it still in the club there in Jakarta. What happened to L'Aquila? He and Nina live in Russell up in NZs Bay of Islands n...

Re: poor old thing?

Nice motor. Hugz, I have a brass bayonet tank with cap in my spares. I recently fitted a steel bayonet tank to my old 1943 SD. Its in good condition, a few small dents, needs paint and the cap is missing the actual bayonet centre bit which looks easy to make. PM me if you have a good home for it! I ...

My Ls is 19441, so not one of the earliest I guess, but a lovely straight little engine.

Re: 1943 SD for sale

Yes, no problem. Seems like quite a lot of interest in this motor. I can't see any stampings on the motor, I know the ones you are talking about.

1943 SD for sale

Hello, I have a 43 model SD for sale. The motor is complete apart from the thrust block. It runs but really needs restoring. A very early model with the Marston type cases which do not have "Seagull" cast into them. It looks pretty original to me, old type MK1 magneto, bronze clutch lever,...

My life of Seagulling

As a young boy in the late 70’s I dimly remember a whole rack of brand new Seagulls on display at a Yacht Chandlers in London and my Father having a fairly brief discussion with a member of staff before making his selection. He’d recently moved out to Indonesia, my Parents had spilt up, I’d been put...
