Re: Serious challenge to the Seagull reputation!

I thought I saw a Suzuki 2.2 hp for sale lately on EBay...guy was willing to trade for a Seagull of any model. It was written up in very small, under-the-radar print! :D

Re: This Time Last Year....WA Had Fires

Minus 20 here in Ottawa Canada, and another 12 inches overnight...no fires except in our stoves! Heart really goes out though to those poor mates in WA. Think of the loss that lies ahead too. :(

Re: spareparts for century100/ built 1965

Thank you for your answers. I don't want to remove the head, becaue the engine was working realy good. There haven' t been any problems with the watercooling in the past, and it was not used in saltwater. Only in brackwater and sweet water, before the years of standing in a dry shed. I will check t...

Re: Champion 8 com spark plug.

I might keep an eye out for the KLG. I note there are three Com 8's in the States on Ebay. Interestingly they don't appear to come apart. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VINTAGE-CHAMPION-8-COM-COLLECTIBLE-SPARK-PLUG-WHITE-AND-RED-PORCELAIN-TOP-/261148867798?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ccdaf7cd6 Hmm....

Re: Notable seagulls of 2012

My vote goes to Markhld's model OA and his reincarnated classic beauty! It made my day for a month when I saw the finished product! :D BTW Best of the New Year to all the mates on this forum... wishing you all a minimum of Seagull complaints regarding noise, oil slick trails, starter pulley rope bea...

That's normal...it's a Seagull!

Re: Xmas Wishes

Your tank Bullet...I want it. :P

But you can keep the pooch...by the way he looks a bit tanked. Sure your tank vent screw is tightly closed? :P

Merry Christmas Mate...to you and yours!

Re: Plastic fuel tank...

Minn Kota makes several models without tanks at all  (Joking of course) I would love a good-looking stainless tank and dish out whatever to get it...but the thing is, not every Seagull owner can make his own, including filler, petcock and filter and straps to mount on the engine. And even then ...

Re: Plastic fuel tank...

Very true...but many tanks aren't made of brass and most are dented in an unsightly way (even if it's a Seagull trade "mark"). The old adage "If it ain't dented it ain't a Seagull" is often said. How many queries do we read on here regarding hopeless, problematic tanks? I for one would love t...

Re: Plastic fuel tank...

So let's make it a resolution for the coming year. :!: These tanks would certainly rejuvenate many Gulls and add years to their serviceable lives through lack of contaminants that so often jam carbs and render motors unreliable. I assume many a Gull has been put to pasture because of faulty tank pro...

Re: Plastic fuel tank...

Hugz...face it. Dats a ugly tank mate! Looks more like a seized hot water bottle!
But I click to H-A's suggestion about Chinese low-budget units, as long as they're EXACT replicas.
And not to insult you I might add that the tank on your pic would look very good...on a lawnmower!!! :D
