Good on you S.
You must have just about cornered the market for Row Boat Motors, in your area. LOL
Now the fun starts.

Re: BMB Outboard
I would assume it was easier, and a lot cheaper, to use the forced water system, instead of a water pump.

Re: BMB Outboard
Thanks Collector Inspector, for posting about the triton. My one is due for some love, and its good to get some info about it . I need a starter pulley, and the plate under it. Also, the carry handle bar . It is a bit down the list ATM, as I need to Finish my Sea Sprite, and a couple of others, that...

Re: BMB Outboard
Thanks ferrier 120. . Those are great pictures. The front head and carby cover casting looks very interesting. I don't know how I can find one, or get one made. I will need to ponder on it for a while. Yes the triton is quite different. I have one of those also. I think I also have the other Britann...

Re: BMB Outboard
Oh No, here we go again. LOL. I seem to have a bad habit of picking up outboards, that nobody else has.
I am always optimistic, and hope to someday find one to look at, or photograph etc.
Thats part of the fun? of vintage outboards.
Thanks for your input.
Cheers

Re: Will this 102 run OK?
Good job on the 102.
Going by one of your photos, I also bought an outboard, from the same bloke.
Unfortunately, mine is not in as good a condition. ( Non Seagull )
I have stripped it down, to begin the resto.
let the fun begin. LOL
Hope you get yours out on the water soon.
Cheers,

Re: CPCL
Hi Cobbadog, I don't know enough to tell you accurately about the date codes, but as for the fuel mix, I would suggest that you stick with the 10 to 1 ratio, as the extra oil seems to be needed for the old Seagulls. I have found that they start and run better with more oil. With todays modern oils, ...

Re: BMB Outboard
Thanks oyster 49. I think its cool. Im not sure when I can get to restoring this one, as I already have a few other outboards that need finishing, before I start another. In the meantime, I will keep an eye out for a head cover, and info on original colours and decals etc. I appreciate everybody's i...

Re: BMB Outboard
WOW!!!
Thanks very much Ferrier 120.
At least I know what to look for. LOL
I am assuming that the cover will be almost impossible to find, but I am always optimistic .
Are you also a Ferrier Collector?, as I have a 120 also.
Cheers

Re: BMB Outboard
Thanks Oyster and Ferrier. I appreciate your help and info. Im pleased that you have come up with a model name. I will have to try to find some info, on the Britannia Ensign. I have not heard of this model before. i suspect that the cast Alloy cover, may be difficult to source. Would anybody have a ...

Also interested in the carby. Is this correct for this model.? It seems odd, with the little throttle lever.

Re: BMB Outboard
Hi Oyster 49,
Thanks very much for the info, and pics. I have taken a few more, showing better details of the barrels.
Cheers,
Again, not sure why the pics are on their sides?
Is it because I live down under? LOL
