Re: Fishing

Happy Australia Day, what's left of it anyway.

Went for a fish this morning with No. 2 son. Besides many undersize fish he landed this, a 55cm dusky Flathead! The gloves came in handy as their gill plates have spurs that can cut badly.

Re: URGENT request from the Murray River boys

V ring, nitrile, V12A: These have helped reduce my gearbox leaks. I have put one on the propshaft and one above the pinion gear. Before I used these I was having to top up after every two fishing trips; I haven't had to top up for the last 10 trips (about 2 hours each trip). I know it's not authenti...

Re: Humour

The Aussie FP went for AUD$142.50. That's CAD$141.26 or GBP£89.74 or USD$135.82

It still seems pretty inexpensive to me.

This was taken when I was young, the local shops and beaches feature in it. they were promotional films to make people want to come here.
There are double decker buses from the UK as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR1CU8Nj ... r_embedded

Hi Chris, Can you really get a gearbox plug from Repco? I'll need a new one soon.....What does Repco call the plugs? Do they look the same?

Re: Once more wildly off topic...

We used to get many of those sorts of calls, usually just as we were about to have dinner. It was most often someone claiming to be from Telstra/Energy Australia/Medicare/AAMI Insurance and so on with an Indian or Philippine accent and a colloquial name like Wayne/Greg/Mark/Lisa/Debbie etc. There wa...

What does Moose taste like? Some Australians regularly eat the Fauna depicted on our coat of arms. Kangaroo is great, a bit like beef, a bit gamey, deep red and very low in fat.

I've not tried Emu.

Once you get the cover off, you may see this: IMG_0349 2.jpg Then swing the lid holder out of the way and point...
