Curlew short shaft for sale, runs well, a little scruffy and floods a little if not running and fuel not turned off.

Had a play while removing transom bracket today and managed to move flywheel with a little force and gearbox moves and bolts do not seem to be too seized

Any one want this, free
gearbox moves and feels ok, but engine seized.
good for parts maybe
Free and to be collected unless you want to pay for pick up by courier in Gloucester, I do travel to Torbay regularly so maybe able to arrange something on route.
Jap engine but not sure make of outboard

Yes the finned extension/ mating piece between exhaust port and leg tube is what is shown on the thread JAP, think this one has been bodged with flexible conduit or alike

chrysler 4 carb settings?

Can anyone help with the carb settings on this Chrysler 4. It has the adjuster for rich/lean at the bottom of the carb by screwing the needle valve in/out. Cleaned out tank and gave it a general clean and with playing with carb settings managed to get it to fire into life. Any help with this and inf...

I had a Mariner 3.5 4 stroke and it was gutless compared to a Tohatsu 3.5 2 stroke that I have now, it was a pain to store in a vehicle when travelling with the oil running into the cylinder and then a pain to start and not that much better on fuel from memory, 2 stroke all the time for portable pow...

Managed to get it in the water this year and powered it with a Seagull 40 plus and the Mariner in picture, a little sluggish with the seagull but moved it along ok for such a big inflatable as they are not the easiest of things to move in water

Once it stated to move it wasn't to bad to drift out, trying to use a drift on the angle wasn't the best but the only way i suppose. Will have to get hold of the shim once I measure the movement in the shaft. Thanks Oyster 49
