Re: Old Outboards and "THE PARTNER......"

As one of the 'partner' posters I felt a bit of clarification was in order. For some of us 'partner' is along the lines of 'Howdy partner'. Mick (warder54) and I are buddies. For partners read co-owners. Our respective pelvic affiliates think we're totally bonkers for doing what we do. 'You go out t...

PortaBote

Hi.
I'm thinking of investing in a 12' PortaBote (as opposed to the 3m inflatable that I now have) and I'm curious. Do any of SOS members have such a beastie? It looks pretty good but I haven't seen one on the plastic so would appreciate any info. And yes, I've seen all the YouTube stuff.

Re: Your Boat & Motor Pictures

Hi again, I'm now a newly weaned but very salty seadog. We had a go at setting up the 102 on our inflatable. We had decided to launch from Auchmithie harbour, basically because of it's seclusion. You know, in case we made complete prats of ourselves. This proved to be the case. On our first attempt ...

Re: Your Boat & Motor Pictures

Well, Dobro, if you hook on to something really, really big and really, really ugly, be sure to snap a few pics. My God! I've only been a member for a day and I'm already being insulted ............... oh, I see. You mean Nessie. My mistake ............ I'll be happy with a decent sized pike, but r...

Re: Your Boat & Motor Pictures

I've been retired about a year now and have been spending a fair bit of time fishing with my good friend and co-owner Mick. About the same time we realised that we both shared a dream of being boat owners. Nothing major, just a way of getting out on the water. The winter has been a sort of gung-ho p...

Re: Your Boat & Motor Pictures

Hi. Today my friend Mick and I got our Seagull. A red letter day as we had been planning to go fishing a bit deeper water than is possible in waders. We already have an inflatable, a 3 mtr Waveline, but alas until this week no outboard, just oars. So this arrived today. 102 on stand.jpg After a litt...

Re: Serial Number Identifier

Hi. I'm just new to Seagull ownership. The identifier worked pretty well (I think) I tried checking it manually but it was pretty confusing. I thought I had a 102 5hp but supposedly some models were 3.5 to 4 hp with a Villiers carb. Mine has an Amal carb. I know very little about it but the identifi...
