Hi Barry,
Yes it is rare now. It was used in the gearboxes and back axles of older vehicles, so a good garage that caters for classic cars might help.
Agricultural dealers could also be a source of supply, but you might have to buy it in 5 litre cans!
I do have it a Tillingham, in 500ml bottles,but in is heavy to post!
