Will a Forty Plus push a 16 foot boat?

We have a 16ft clinker launch (with a perfectly good Yanmar 1GM10 in it!) I was idly speculating, as fitting out time approaches, on whether it would be worth while making and fitting an outboard bracket for the Forty Plus that normally pushes the 9ft dinghy, as a "get you home", since the Forty Plus tends to be in the launch anyway. Worthwhile, or asking too much of the little engine?
