Around my big EFNR project this winter I took the opportunity to try and take some compression readings on my Flock...Put 3 tbls oil into the cylinder, turned motor over 3x, then pulled as hard as could to get a compression reading. All three of the tested engines turned in 65-70 pound readings. I seem to recall this was very low - that these engines should measure 100 psi or so - all three engines run fine and push a 17 foot daysailor to hull speed. Is their a trick to getting a better reading?
