Thank you for the comments - very helpful. The reason for asking is very minor - Gradually, I'm trying to replace the fastenings on my 2 featherweights and Forty Plus (all !982/3 CD )with ss. Sounds like it dosn't really matter a lot whether I do it with 304 or 316.Incidentally, I subsequently found (on the web, via Google) that anopol.co.uk do a molybdenum testing kit, which does the job, but it costs £75, so that's the end of that.....
